threads

Threads was inspired by a visit to the Pitt Rivers Museum, the piece grew from noticing string and twine in artefacts held within this colonial collection. I imagined the threads weaving through centuries and over oceans whilst evoking memories of my mother’s sewing box brimming with exuberant silks - two worlds colliding into one visual outcome.
